I'm neither for nor against apathy

Here's how I get ready for bed:
I turn on the water and fill my mug, making sure to keep the toilet seat cover down since Vilppi will use it to climb up to the sink and start drinking the water, then, if I need to I use the toilet (yes, you wanted to know that), at which point I lift the shower curtain some for Savu to play with. Once I start brushing my teeth Vilppi is more than likely already lying down in the sink, in the water which is quite unnatural for cats, but once he smells the toothpaste he'll start trying to steal my toothbrush from me. After all is done I walk out of the bathroom and nearly fall due to two kittens at my feet.
This used to be easier before.
